Frequently Asked Questions
- What's going on here?
Kodak has changed it storage policy (see notice). In short, if you don't pay them $5 (up to $20) by May 16th, they will delete your albums.
- I paid Kodak, my albums are safe, why would I pay you for a download tool?
Because the albums your friends have shared with you aren't safe. If your friends don't cough up the cash, Kodak will delete those albums.
- Really?
Don't beleve us? Read this story. Or these.
- Are the photos high resolution?
No. The downloaded photos are around 20-50KB. They are the same photos you see when you browse the albums online or view a slideshow.
- Does backupgallery.exe work with Flickr or other online photos sites?
Nope.
- Does backupgallery.exe work on Macs, Linux?
Nope. PC Only.
- What's your beef with Kodak?
Nothing. We think Kodak provides a great service. An annual $5-20 fee is more than fair. We paid it. We think you should too. We just don't want to lose our friends albums. And we figured some of you out there felt the same way. Simple as that.
